1.  Is it necessary to have Medical Transcription training to do Medical Transcription work?

Ans:  Yes, Medical Transcription training is essential before doing Medical Transcription work.

2.  How long will it take for Medical Transcription training ?

Ans:  On an average, medical transcription training in India is usually done for a period of three to six months.  Since there is no particular government accredited certifying body, the training duration is usually decided by the training institute or the company giving training.

3.  What is the fees for transcription training?

Ans:  If there is in-house requirement for employees, some companies provide free training with placement.  Some companies refund the training fees after minimum agreed work period in the company.  Training fees may start anywhere from around Rs. 5000 to Rs.50000 depending on the training institute or company providing training/placement.

Ans:  Yes, some institutes/companies provide training from home/online.

5.  Can I do Home Transcription after MT training?

Ans:  A minimum of six months live work experience is required to do home transcription, provided you are giving quality work.  However, most companies give home transcription to people who give at least 98% accuracy and with at least two years work experience.
